Each year the AOH renovates a room at the New Bern House.
The goal of the New Bern House Transitional Housing Program is to provide a temporary home, tools, resources and opportunities for single mothers and other families, experiencing homelessness, to transition into independent living.
The 2018 Wake AOH Golf Outing was held at Bentwinds in Fuquay Varina.
The Cup for the best overall team again went to the Sales Team from NetApp.
The North Carolina State Ancient Order of Hibernians added a new cup this year for the best team of AOH members, which went to the Ryan-Richardson team from WakeAOH.
Raleigh Cú Chulainn will be hosting their annual hurling tournament on Saturday August 25th at the Raleigh Rugby Club on Poole Road.
The teams will be competing for the Gov. Thomas Burke Cup. Gov. Thomas Burke is the namesake of the Wake AOH. He was born in County Galway and was the third Governor of the State of North Carolina.
The Tournament will begin at 10:00 AM.
A day of Irish Music and Dance in downtown Wake Forest.

Each year we visit and do maintenance to the grave site of Governor Thomas Burke, whom our division is named after. This year we will be cleaning up the grave site on April 14th.
You will be getting your hands and especially your feet dirty, so make sure to bring some gloves and some old work boots as we will be walking through a cow pasture.
We will also grab a bite to eat while we are out there.
Set your GPS to Latta’s Egg Ranch and then keep driving down Governor Burke Rd, turning left at the farm buildings.
